Sol — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 15, 2026

Quick Summary

Sol is an AI photo editing app for iOS. We collect and process only the data needed to provide edits, operate purchases, secure the Service, diagnose problems, and understand app performance. You do not need to create a named account. When you request an AI edit, your selected photo and editing instructions are securely transmitted through our Google Firebase infrastructure to Kie.ai and, when needed, Google Gemini. These providers temporarily retain processing data as described below. Completed edits are saved on your device or in iCloud according to your Apple settings. We do not sell your personal data.

1) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Sol iOS app and related in-app services, which we refer to as the “Service.” It explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

2) Photos and AI Processing

Sol accesses only the photo you capture in the app or choose through Apple's photo picker. When you tap Apply Tan, you request and consent to cloud AI processing of that photo. Sol sends the selected image, any metadata contained in the submitted image file, your selected tan style and tan-line settings, and any custom editing instructions to our Firebase-hosted processing service.

Our processing service sends this data to Kie.ai, operated by NEXUSAI SERVICES LLC, as the primary AI processing provider. If processing is delayed or unsuccessful, the same image and editing instructions may also be sent to Google Gemini, provided by Google LLC, as a fallback provider. In some cases, both providers may begin processing before the first successful result is returned.

Sol does not store submitted or generated image files in its own persistent server storage. The edited image is returned to the app and is stored on your device, in Apple Photos, or in iCloud only according to your choices and Apple settings. Our AI providers may temporarily retain submitted images, generated images, prompts, task records, and technical logs as explained in Section 7.

3) Data We Collect

We may collect or process the following categories of data:

We do not require you to create a named account or provide a name, email address, or password to use the app. We do not intentionally collect contacts, precise GPS location, or browsing history outside the app. Sol uses Apple's system photo picker so you can select a photo without granting full photo-library access. Camera and photo-library permissions remain controlled by Apple settings.

4) How We Use Data

We use data to:

We do not use submitted photos for advertising, facial recognition, identity verification, or decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5) Service Providers and Data Sharing

We share data only as needed to provide and support the Service. The providers below process data on our behalf or provide services requested through the app:

We select and require service providers that maintain privacy and security protections that are the same as or equivalent to the protections described in this Policy and required by applicable law. Providers may use subprocessors under their applicable terms. We do not authorize our analytics or attribution providers to receive submitted photos, and we do not sell or rent personal data.

6) Analytics, Attribution, and Tracking

Sol uses PostHog to understand product usage and AppsFlyer to measure installs and marketing attribution. These services may process app events, device information, identifiers, IP addresses, and purchase or subscription events. They do not receive the photos you submit for editing.

We do not sell personal data. Where Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework or applicable law requires permission for tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies, Sol requests that permission. You can change tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings.

7) Retention and Deletion

You can withdraw consent for future AI photo processing by not submitting another image for editing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed. You may also contact us at contact@nunellc.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we can reasonably identify. Because Sol uses an anonymous identifier rather than a named account, we may ask for information needed to locate and verify the relevant records.

8) Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those in your location. Where required, providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections.

9) Children

Sol is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to Sol, contact us at contact@nunellc.com and we will take appropriate action.

10) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. To exercise rights, contact us at contact@nunellc.com. Because Sol does not require accounts, we may need limited information to verify and process your request.

11) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by reasonable means, such as through the app or by updating the “Last Updated” date.
